Simone Stribl

Simone Stribl (born November 19, 1986 ) is an Austrian journalist and television presenter who works for ORF . She has been moderating the program press hour since 2017 . As a reporter , she reports on domestic political issues.

Career

Simone Stribl grew up in Grünau im Almtal . After studying journalism from 2005 to 2009 at the Vienna University of Applied Sciences , she completed several internships with regional media. She has been working for ORF since 2008, initially with the program Report for several years . Since 2013 she has been reporting on political events in Austria in Zeit im Bild and has been moderating the program Pressestunde since 2017 .

For professional coverage of the Ibiza affair in May 2019, Stribl was awarded the Walther Rode Prize as a reporter in the team with Tobias Pötzelsberger , Matthias Westhoff and Patrick Swanson . The reason for the jury's decision was: "Your presence is also sovereign on other topics, your reporting precise, not speculative." During the TV confrontations of the top candidates before the National Council election in Austria 2019 , she moderated the studio comments and broadcasts to the federal states. In 2020 she moderated the ORF summer talks .
