Simone Thiero (born March 15, 1993 ) is a French - Congolese handball player who plays for the national team of the Congo .

Career

Simone Thiero learned to play handball in Paris. In 2015, the left-hander signed a professional contract with the French first division team Toulon Saint-Cyr Var Handball . A year later she moved to the German Bundesliga club TV Nellingen . In January 2017, her contract with Nellingen was terminated.

Thiero initially ran for the French national youth team. She later used her second citizenship to run for the Congolese national team. Thiero participated in the 2015 World Cup where she scored 8 goals in 7 games.
