The Simoom Hill is a 640 m high hill on the Fallières coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises 3 miles east of Mount Edgell as one of the Relay Hills .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1977 after the Samum ( English Simoom ), the name for a sandstorm in the North African-Arab region.
