sinKing is a Finnish groove metal band from Turenki , which was formed in 2003.

history

The band was formed in 2003. After releasing two demos, the band took part in the Finnish Metal Expo in 2005 and took first place in the national band competition out of 148 participants. The rest of the year the band spent playing more concerts, opening up for Soulfly in Helsinki . The band also took part in the Tuska Open Air Metal Festival and played in Estonia in December with Anathema and Die Krupps . In November 2005 the band moved to the Sound Supreme studio in Hämeenlinna . As a producer, it was Janne Saksa operates. The recordings were finished at the end of January 2006, so that with Revenge Is Coarse the first single was released on February 15th. The launch ceremony followed on February 17th at the Finnish Metal Expo. The single reached number one in the Finnish singles chart in the first week of its release. The debut album New Trinity was released on April 26th. This was followed by a tour that included 15 gigs in Brazil and Finland, together with the Brazilian band Cobalto . In 2007 the band continued their performances in Finland and worked on new material. In March 2008 the EP Dead Man's Groove followed .

style

The band plays classic groove metal, so the music is comparable to that of bands like Machine Head and Pantera .
