Sinas is a small, bowl-shaped impact crater on the front of the moon in the plain of Mare Tranquillitatis , south of Cajal crater and west of Cauchy .

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the Austrian philanthropist and astronomer Simon von Sina .
