The Singapore Community Shield , also known as the Great Eastern Community Shield for sponsorship reasons , is a soccer cup competition in Singapore . The game is a match between the champions of the Singapore Premier League and the winners of the Singapore Cup . The cup will be played before the start of the new season. The Cup was held for the first time in 2008.
