The Singhi Kangri is a mountain in the eastern Karakoram on the border between India in the south and the People's Republic of China in the north.
location
The Singhi Kangri is located 8.7 km west of the Teram Kangri I in the northwest of the Siachen Muztagh . It has a height of 7202 m (according to other sources 7207 m ). The nutrient zone of the Staghar Glacier is located on its northwest flank . The southern flank of the mountain is drained by the Siachen glacier .
Ascent history
The Singhi Kangri was first climbed in 1976 by a Japanese expedition led by Harne Sato from the Staghar Glacier via the north face and the north ridge. A total of seven expedition members reached the summit on consecutive days.
Minor peaks
2.34 km north - across the border on Chinese territory - is the 6,891 m high secondary peak Singhi Kangri II ( Neben ). Its north and east flanks are drained via the Singhi Glacier .
