history
The church was built in the 15th century as the chapel of the Sint Jacobsgasthuis (German: St Jakobshospital) as a hall church with a slender, integrated tower. The choir closes with a 5/8 ending . The church received its present form in the 17th century.
After the introduction of the Reformation , the building served successively as a parish church for English merchants, Reformed, Lutherans and Walloons . The church was last used by the Waalse Hervormde Gemeente, the Walloon Reformed Community. Today the church is secularized and is used as a doctor's office.
