The former town hall of Sint Laurens

Sint Laurens is a formerly independent municipality that today belongs to the city of Middelburg in the Dutch province of Zeeland . In 2017 the village had 1000 inhabitants.

Sint Laurens is located on Rijksweg 57 , which connects Middelburg with the port of Rotterdam .

The village was built around a chapel of the Popkensburg fort, which probably existed as early as the 13th century and was razed in 1863.

In 1966, Sint Laurens was slammed together with Brigdamme Middelburg, which was incorporated in 1817 .
