The Seated Boars are two identical bronze sculptures in Munich , each depicting a male wild boar.

The first of the 124 cm high sculptures was created by the sculptor Martin Mayer on behalf of Bernhard Borst and installed in the Borstei residential complex in 1960 ( ). In 1976 an impression was cast and placed in front of the German Hunting and Fishing Museum on Neuhauser Strasse in Munich ( ). There it forms an ensemble with a bronze sculpture of a catfish .

The models were Porcellino , a bronze sculpture by the Italian sculptor Pietro Tacca on the Mercato Nuovo in Florence , and a marble sculpture in the Uffizi .
