The Sixt Leasing SE (formerly Sixt Leasing AG), based in Pullach in Munich is internationally in the business areas of fleet management and - leasing of residential and business customers operate. The main shareholder until February 2020 was Sixt SE , which then sold its 41.9% stake to Hyundai Capital Bank Europe , a joint venture between the car manufacturer Hyundai and Bank Santander .

history

In 1967 the car rental company Sixt offered the first vehicle leasing program in Germany. In 1988 Sixt Leasing GmbH was founded by Sixt. The Sixt Leasing GmbH was founded in 1996 to Sixt Leasing AG and began simultaneously in Austria . In 1998 the company expanded to France and in 2004 to Switzerland . In 2010 Sixt Mobility Consulting entered the market as a company specializing in vehicle fleet management and strategic consulting. In 2011 Sixt Leasing AG became active in the Netherlands and in 2012 it launched sixt-neuwagen.de, an online platform for private and commercial customers, offering Sixt Vario financing in addition to classic finance leasing. In 2015, Sixt Mobility Consulting won SAP as a major customer in fleet management and managed around 14,500 vehicles for the software company. In April 2015, the fleet management company Managed Mobility AG started in Switzerland as a joint venture with Swisscom . On May 7, 2015, the Sixt Leasing AG share was traded on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange for the first time . Between September 2015 and March 2016 and between May 15 and 29, 2020, Sixt Leasing SE was represented in the SDAX of Deutsche Börse . In addition, Sixt Leasing SE is now active in around 40 countries via a franchise network.
