Skakligaen 2008/09
The 2008/09 season was the fifth season of the Skakligaen and the 47th edition of the Danish team championship in chess . The official name of the Skakligaen has been XtraCon Skakligaen since this season .
The defending champion Helsinge Skakklub won all competitions and was thus superior for the ninth time in a row Danish champions, but withdrew his team after the season. The SK 1968 Århus and the Næstved Skakklub were promoted from the 1st division . Both promoted players achieved relegation, but Næstved only because of the Helsinger withdrawal, as they would have been relegated purely sporting together with the Helsingør Skakklub . Game dates
The competitions were held on November 1 and 2, 2008, December 7, 2008, January 10, 11 and 25, 2009, February 22, 2009 and on March 21 and 22, 2009. In the first two rounds were Three competitions each were held in Århus and two in Næstved , in the fourth and fifth round three competitions were played in Århus and two each in Brønshøj . The last two rounds were held centrally in Helsingør , while the competitions of the third, sixth and seventh round were played decentrally at the clubs involved.
