Skallen (Norwegian for skull ) is an area of bare rock hills on the Prince Harald Coast of Queen Maud Land in East Antarctica . They protrude between the Skallevika and the Skallebreen in the eastern Lützow-Holm Bay . To them belongs Himi Yama .
Norwegian cartographers, who also descriptively named the group of hills, mapped it using aerial photographs taken during the Lars Christensen expedition in 1936/37 .
