The Skappelnabben is a rock spur in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It rises on the east side of the Urfjelldokka valley in the southwest part of Kirwanveggen in Maudheimvidda .
Norwegian cartographers, who also named it, mapped it on the basis of surveys and aerial photographs of the Norwegian-British-Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1949–1952) and aerial photographs of the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960). It is named after Helge Sommerfelt Skappel (1907–2001), surveyor for the Norwegian-British-Swedish Antarctic Expedition.
