The Skarmeta Rocks ( English for Rocas Skármeta in Spanish ) are a group of cliffs in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands, partially washed over by the sea . They are west of Fuente Rock in Discovery Bay on Greenwich Island .
Scientists of the 1st Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1946–1947) named it after Jorge Skarmeta, a member of the expedition. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee translated this designation into English in 2004.
