The Skiway Col is a wide saddle in the east of the Adelaide Island west of the Antarctic Peninsula . On the Wright Peninsula, it lies at the northwest end of the Reptile Ridge .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 2004. It is named after the fact that the saddle represents the end of an orientation mark for the approach to the runway at Rothera station .
