The Skua Beach ( English for skuas beach ) is a sandy beach on the east side of the island Heard in the southern Indian Ocean . It is at the foot of Scarlet Hill .
American sealers named him 1860 to 1870 as a launch Beach (English for barges beach ). Scientists from the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions in 1948 made the name, which is now established .
