Angela Knäble

Angela Knäble (born June 13, 1986 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German television presenter and reporter .

Career

After completing her German and American Abitur , Knäble completed multiple studies at the University of Siegen , the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and the University of Western Sydney , specializing in languages , communication and politics . She speaks five foreign languages.

Angela Knäble gained her first television experience during the semester break at RheinMainTV , Kabel eins and in the ZDF foreign studio in Washington, DC After completing her studies, she did an editorial traineeship at Sat.1 Bayern and N24 (today: WELT ). Since June 2009 she has been working as a presenter, live reporter and editor .

For the regional and national Sat.1 Nachrichten , WELT and Deutsche Welle , she reported live from home and abroad. a. from Palestine, Israel, Mexico and Russia. She also moderated for the Mexican television station Sistema Michoacano de TV.

For the Deutsche Welle Academy , she wrote the blog "once amigos" in Spanish and Portuguese together with 22 young Latin American and German journalists .

She is the younger sister of Jennifer Knäble .

Sociopolitical engagement

Angela Knäble volunteers as an ambassador for the Federal Association of Children's Hospice .

Together with author Robert Hältner , she supports and evaluates the promoted media projects of young talents in the program “In Own Direction”, which is a joint initiative of the Bavarian State Center for New Media (BLM) and the JFF - Institute for Media Education in Research and Practice .

Awards

Knäble was a reporter for the documentary At the Border - 24 hours at the hot spots of the refugee crisis , which was awarded the German Television Prize 2016 in the category Best Information .
