The Skua Point ( English for skuas tip is) a headland on the north coast of South Georgia . It is located on the east side of the Barff Peninsula between Rookery Point and Long Point .
Scientists from the British Discovery Investigations mapped and named it in 1929. It is named after the Subantarctic skua ( Stercorarius antarcticus ). The name of the headland for the first time on a nautical chart of the British Admiralty records from the year 1930th
