Scythes (mythology)

According to Greek mythology, Scythes ( Greek  Σκ lautθης ) was the third son of Heracles and Echidna . Unlike his brothers Agathyrsos and Gelonos , he was able to fulfill the task set by his father: to draw Heracles' bow and to put on his belt. As a reward he became King of Hylaia and eponym of the Scythians . According to another tradition, he was the son of Zeus .
