Skytrax
Skytrax is a British management consultancy that has been carrying out surveys worldwide on the subjective quality of international airlines and airports since 1990 and awards awards based on the results.
The survey results are ratings of airlines and airports based on travelers' experience . There is also the option of leaving reviews on the English-language Skytrax website. The airlines are rated based on their experience of service quality, seating comfort, catering, etc. and, depending on the result, receive awards ranging from five stars for very good performance down to one star. In addition, the World Airline Awards are given once a year to those companies that stand out due to their positive ratings - both overall and by region and class of transport .

The Skytrax World Airline Awards is the world's most prestigious airline award . More than 18.8 million passengers from over 100 countries are surveyed each year for the World Airline Awards over a ten-month period.

For the 2011 awards, 11.38 million people from over 100 nations were interviewed. More than 240 airports were recorded.
criticism
Critics accuse the company of a complete lack of transparency in its evaluation procedures. "There is no generally recognized, reputable and authoritative body for evaluating airlines," said Andreas Spaeth in the FAS. The conflict of interest between the management consultancy and the awards is seen as critical.
