Slamdance Film Festival
The Slamdance Film Festival is an American film festival that takes place annually in Utah . It competes with the concurrent Sundance Film Festival, and its supporters consider it a better representation of independent film-making . The main focus of the festival is on discovering new talent within the film industry. Directors like Christopher Nolan , Marc Forster , Jared Hess and Oren Peli were able to make a name for themselves at the Slamdance Film Festival. The entries in the competition for the best film are exclusively first works by the directors, whose budget must not exceed a million dollars.
The Slamdance Festival also organizes the Slamdance Guerilla Games Competition.
