Slobodan Dubajic

Slobodan Dubajić ( Serbian - Cyrillic Слободан Дубајић ; born February 19, 1963 ) is a former Serbian football player .

Career

The defender came to VfB Stuttgart in 1991 from Proleter Zrenjanin from the first Yugoslav league and made 116 Bundesliga appearances (seven goals) by 1995 . The greatest success of his career was winning the German championship in 1992 . He was an important player in the Stuttgart championship team, who was in the starting line-up in all 38 league games and was only substituted twice.

During his time at VfB, he made his only appearance for the Yugoslav national team : He was in the line-up in a friendly against Brazil on December 23, 1994 (2-0 for Brazil).

In the 1996/97 season, he made a brief stint at Zeytinburnuspor (four games, zero goals) in the Turkish Süper Lig . Subsequently, Dubajić moved to Japan , where he completed 108 games in the second division of the J. League (16 goals) for Brummell Sendai (from 1999 Vegalta Sendai ). There he ended his career in 2000.
