Slobodan Topalović
Slobodan Topalović (born November 8, 1952 in Čačak , † May 16, 1994 in Belgrade ) was a Serbian football player .
Topalović played in the 70s in the Bundesliga for 1. FC Köln . As the second goalkeeper behind Toni Schumacher , he was used 17 times until he sustained a serious head injury in the Bundesliga game against Eintracht Frankfurt. In 1977 he moved to local rivals SC Viktoria Köln , with whom he played in the 2nd Bundesliga in the 1978/1979 season. There, too, he was unable to establish himself as number one in the long run. In 1979 he went to his Yugoslav homeland for two years before moving to Olympique Lyon in France in 1981 . For this club he completed 225 games in the 2nd division until 1987. Slobodan Topalović collided with an opponent in an old men game in France and succumbed to his skull injuries in 1994 after a long illness.
