The Slocan River is a 97 km long orographic right tributary of the Kootenay River in the Canadian province of British Columbia .
Its catchment area covers an area of 3290 km².
Course of the river
The Slocan River has its origin in Slocan Lake and flows from there in a southerly direction past Slocan and Winlaw to flow into the Kootenay River near Shoreacres . The British Columbia Highway 6 runs along the river.
