Small Talk is a 1993 British animated short film directed by Bob Godfrey .

action

Sid is having an exciting day. At a traffic light, the little man with glasses is bullied by a big punk for no reason. He tears off his hat and steps on him. However, Sid pretends that the punk has something on his shoe and knocks him out when the punk bends down. What the punk didn't know is that Sid has the black belt in karate .

A little later, Sid wants to tie his bike to a lamp post when a policeman forbids him to do so, referring to the double blocking markings on the street. A Rolls-Royce is parked nearby , but the policeman explains that this car belongs to a VIP , who of course has special rights. Sid then explains to the policeman that he is a special agent who anonymously searches the area for policemen who are not doing their job properly. Sid is on the phone and shortly afterwards a police car appears and takes the officer away.

A little later Sid hears a large crowd cheering and sees Queen Elisabeth drive by in her golden carriage. Since he always has a British flag with him, he waves it. The Queen sees him and invites him into her carriage, but Sid refuses because he has to go in the opposite direction. The Queen changes her route for him and drives him to the front door in her magnificent carriage. On the way, she hands him some MBE medals , including one for Harry when Sid meets him again.

Sid finishes reporting on his exciting day. He's sitting in a pub with his drinking buddy Harry and Harry, who is dead drunk, is interested to impressed. He begins to report a similar experience, but does not get very far with a heavy tongue.
