Smart Garden

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Smart Garden refers to the automation of work processes in gardens and garden-like systems with the help of networked and remotely controllable devices and systems. The garden tools can be operated manually using remote controls or using apps on mobile devices ( laptop , tablet , smartphone ). However, the solution only becomes really smart when human intervention is no longer necessary and the devices work fully automatically and intelligently - i.e. smart.

The term extends smart home systems to include other outdoor applications and represent an extension of these systems for the garden area.

The term Smart Garden includes many different applications and devices such as automated mowing with robotic lawn mowers , the needs-based irrigation of garden areas, in contrast to conventional irrigation systems, now takes place using intelligent and fully automated solutions, the monitoring of the weather by intelligent weather stations and sensors, the smart lighting of the Garden, monitoring of outdoor areas with networked motion detectors and security cameras as well as intelligent shading through automated awnings , blinds and shutters .
