The Smilets Point (English; Bulgarian нос Смилец nos Smilez ) is a rocky and 500 m long headland on the northwest coast of Nelson Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It forms 5.24 km northeast of Harmony Point and 2.85 km southwest of Retamales Point the southwest side of the entrance to Hall Cove .
British scientists mapped it in 1968. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2014 after the Bulgarian Tsar Smilez († 1298), who ruled from 1292 until his death.
