Smogolice

Smogolice (German Bruchhausen ) is a village in the municipality of Stargard ( Stargard in Pomerania ) in the Pomeranian province Western Pomerania .

Smogolice located in Eastern Pomerania on the Ihna , about ten kilometers northwest of the city of Stargard and 25 kilometers east of the town of Stettin ( Szczecin ).

In 1576, Stargard's mayor Joachim Appelmann († 1579) had his failed son, who had tried to extort money from him, executed by an executioner in the Bruchhausen cemetery. Part of the Feldmark of Bruchhausen, the Sackbruch, used to belong to the princely estates and was named Bruchhausen in 1583. The Bruchhausen people had previously granted hunting rights in the forests to the west. When Duke Johann Friedrich claimed this forest area for his own hunting grounds, he gave the Bruchhausen residents the sack break by means of a certificate dated May 27, 1583. Around 1780 there was a farm in Bruchhausen, a fief school, six farmers, two cottagers , a forester who at the same time ran the inn, a schoolmaster, a Büdner , four granaries, a shepherd's house with two fireplaces, a thresher's house with two fireplaces and a total of 21 fireplaces. At the end of 1835 the common division in Bruchhausen was completed. In 1864 Bruchhausen had a school house, a forester's house, a poor house, 23 private houses, a factory building and 35 barns, stables and sheds. On January 1, 1965, Bruchhausen had 163 residents, nine of whom lived in the municipal forester's house.

Around 1925 the parish of Bruchhausen had an area of ​​8.4 km², and there were 29 residential buildings in the municipality. There were two places of residence in the municipality:

  2. Forsthaus Bruchhausen

In 1925, 193 inhabitants were counted in Bruchhausen, who were distributed over 41 households.

Until 1945 Bruchhausen belonged to the Saatzig district in the Pomeranian province .

Towards the end of the Second World War , Bruchhausen was occupied by the Soviet Army in early March 1945 . After the end of the war, the village was placed under Polish administration. Bruchhausen was renamed Smogolice .

The majority of the population present in Bruchhausen until 1945 belonged to the Protestant denomination. In 1925 there was a Catholic resident in Bruchhausen.
