Smoke Two Joints

Smoke Two Joints is a reggae song by The Toyes released in 1983 .

The song was created in Oahu , Hawaii . It was featured on the soundtrack to the 1998 American comedy thriller Homegrown . The Toyes version was used in the 2005 video game NARC . The song is often attributed to Bob Marley , who died two years before the song was written.

Cover versions

Norman Nardini from Pittsburgh ( Pennsylvania ) created in the 1980s, cover versions , including a studio LP, as well as a version that could be heard on his live CD from 1994, both produced by Circumstantial Records ( New York ). Nardini played the song with his band for over twenty years.

The punk band Sublime played a cover version on their 1992 debut album "40oz. to Freedom ". Smoke Two Joints was one of the first sublime songs to be played on the radio after "Date Rape". This cover contains samples from the movie Beyond the Valley of the Dolls. Smoke Two Joints was released in 1994. The version of Sublime was shown in the video game Rocksmith 2014 as a DLC track.
