The Snøfugldalen ( Norwegian ; Japanese 雪鳥 沢 Yukidori Zawa , German ' snow storm bird valley ' ) is a 3 km long and 0.8 km wide valley with east-west orientation on the Prince Harald coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . In the south-central part of the Langhovde it is located on the east bank of the Lützow-Holm-Bucht . In the valley are the lakes Yukidori Ike and Higasi-yukidori Ike .
Surveys and aerial photographs were taken by participants in a Japanese Antarctic expedition that ran from 1957 to 1962 . Japanese scientists named it in 1972. Scientists from the Norwegian Polar Institute translated this name into Norwegian.
