The Sneglehøj of Kirke Sonnerup located in Hestehaven (forest) northeast of Tølløse and south of Kirke Sonnerup on the Danish island of Zealand . The hill is about 100 meters east of the forest trails and 500 meters from public roads.

The approximately 3.5 m high hill has a diameter of about 25 m and is a so-called snail hill ( Danish Sneglehøj ). A few flint chips are visible on the surface and there is a larger, grooved stone about ten meters southeast of the hill.

Explanation

The special thing about Sneglehøjen is a processional path that spirals around the round hill to the top. Finds on such hills date mostly from the Bronze Age and in Denmark are limited to Zealand and the neighboring regions.

There are so-called round hills in Germany (Schneckenhügel Aurich) and England (Snail Mound in Lyveden New Bield)

Nearby is the Vester Såby Runddysse.
