So far ... - Best Of is the first compilation album by Marius Müller-Westernhagen . It was released on November 27, 2000 on WEA Records . In addition to songs that have already been released, the album also contains two new tracks called Rosanna and You Are Not Alone .

reception
Laut.de headlined "Shine and misery are sometimes close to each other" and pointed out that the selection of the pieces was successful, but not complete - especially the "Rock'n'Roll phase of Western Hagens" was "a little underrepresented".
Even Rolling Stone praised the selection of the double CD, but criticized the two new pieces as "two soft-focus kippers for the needs of the regimented format radio" and concluded:
“After all, all Westernhagen albums have been remastered, so that you can still get an impression of what Marius sounded like when he wasn't quite 'ready'. Friends of this time will disdain the 'Best Of', but the audience of the later years will be happy about the gift under the Christmas tree. "
Track list
15 of the total of 18 recordings are previously published pieces. Two recordings, Rosanna and You Are Not Alone , were released for the first time. Take me with me appeared on the 1990 album Live , but was re-recorded for So Weit… . Stand up appeared on the 1992 album Ja Ja , but was slightly changed for So Far ... Here you can clearly hear the singing of a choir in the chorus.
All titles were written by Marius Müller-Westernhagen, unless otherwise stated.
