Société des bains de mer de Monaco (SBM) is a publicly listed, state-controlled company in the Principality of Monaco , whose main activities are in the cultural and tourism industries and is one of the leading players in the gambling and casino business in Europe, as well as a leader in the Luxury tourism market in Monaco.
The main facilities managed by the company include the Opéra de Monaco , the Monte Carlo Casino and the Hôtel de Paris . It is also indirectly a major owner of the online gaming provider bet-at-home.com AG . In addition, the Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer group has expanded its real estate leasing business over the past ten years .
SBM is Monaco's largest employer. It is around 64% owned by the principality. SBM is a longstanding sponsor of major sporting events, particularly prestigious events in Monaco. These include the partnership with AS Monaco Football Club , events of the Automobile Club de Monaco and participation in the Monte Carlo Rolex Masters tennis tournament .
