Sofia Margareta Helin (born April 25, 1972 in Hovsta , Örebro municipality ) is a Swedish actress . In addition to her theater work, she has played roles in more than 20 film and television productions since the mid-1990s.

biography

Sofia Helin grew up in a small community near Linköping and already took part in theater performances at school. She broke off studying the history of ideas at Lund University . From 1994 to 1996, Helin instead attended Calle Flygares teaterskola , a drama school in Stockholm . In 2001 she completed her training at the Teaterhögskolan (theater school) in Stockholm, where she a. a. studied together with Joakim Nätterqvist . This was followed by various stage engagements in the Swedish capital, including a. at the Stockholm City Theater and at the Reichstheater .

2005 Helin for the Swedish Film Award Guldbagge as best actress for her role in Back to Dalarna nominated. In 2007/08 she worked in the film adaptation of Jan Guillou's novel series about the Swedish Knight Templar Arn Magnusson. In the Swedish-Danish TV crime series Die Brücke - Transit in den Tod , which has been broadcast on ZDF since 2012 , Helin embodies the main female role in the saga Norén, a detective with autistic features.

Sofia Helin lives in Stockholm and is married to her Swedish colleague Daniel Götschenhjelm . The relationship resulted in a son (* 2003) and a daughter (* 2009).

At the time of her acting training, she had a serious bicycle accident that left permanent scars on her face.
