Sofie Calderon

Sofie Calderon (* before 2002) is an actress , director and film producer .

Life

Calderon received a BA from the University of San Antonio and studied acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and under Ivana Chubbuck , Michelle Danner and Jennifer M. Rincon. Her acting activities at the theater included the roles of Lady Macbeth in Macbeth , Sarita in Blade to the Heat and Calonice in Lysistrata as well as appearing at the CBS Diversity Showcase.

On television, she appeared in several episodes of various series, such as Strong Medicine: Two Doctors like Fire and Ice (2003), The Shield - Law of Violence (2004-2005) and Grey's Anatomy (2018). In the cinema she was seen in two films by Javier Calderon, among others. Once as Julia Marcman in the drama The God Project in 2008 and again as Celia in the 2016 action sports drama The Holy Man . She was also involved in the latter as a producer. In 2017 she directed the film adaptation of Elizabeth Liang's one-woman show ALIEN CITIZEN: An Earth Odyssey , which humorously tells of the complications of dual citizenship with a mixed heritage from different cultures. A year later, the two filmmakers won the Outstanding Achievement Award in the Performing Arts category at the Calcutta International Cult Film Festival.
