Sofietoppen ( Norwegian ) is a mountain in Queen Maud Land, East Antarctica . In Gjelsvikfjella it rises south-east of Nonshøgda .
Scientists at the Norwegian Polar Institute named it in 2007 after the main character from the novel Sofies verden by the Norwegian writer Jostein Gaarder from 1991.
