Solfeggietto

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Solfeggietto is a common name for the solfeggio in C minor (Wq 117/2, H. 220) by Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach . The composition for keyboard instrument was published in 1770 in the musical Vielerley . It bears the tempo designation Prestissimo .

In addition to the solfeggio in c , Bach created five other etude-like pieces, which he called solfeggio , based on the term used in the vocal field for short practice pieces without text .
