The Soligor GmbH is a German distributor of photographic and video accessories, electronic devices with headquarters in Leinfelden-Echterdingen in Baden-Wuerttemberg . The company was founded in 1968 in Stuttgart as AIC Phototechnik GmbH (as the German subsidiary of the US company Allied Impex Corporation) and was renamed in 1993 to the company's current name.

Lenses for various brands of SLR cameras - for example Nikon , Pentax , Canon , Konica Minolta - and for models with M42 × 1 mm screw connections were offered under the brand name Soligor . Hanimex and Kalimar were comparable suppliers for lenses made by third parties .

In addition to accessories for cameras and video cameras , Soligor also sold binoculars and radio weather stations.

On March 8, 2011, the Esslingen District Court opened insolvency proceedings for the company. The trademark rights went to Sphere Vertriebs GmbH , whose managing director Erol Polat owns the Turkish company Polat Fotoğrafçılık , which is limited to the sale of photo accessories.
