Solo (drink)
Solo is a carbonated orange-flavored drink that is produced and sold in Norway . The drink was first launched in 1934 after Torleif Gulliksrud brought the recipe to Tønsberg Bryggeri from Spain . Solo had a 7% market share in 2005 but was the top-selling fizzy drink in the country until the 1960s when it was overtaken by Coca-Cola and Pepsi . At peak times, the brand had up to 25% market share.
Bottling
The drink is bottled by the Ringnes , Oskar Sylte , Aass and Mack breweries , which also owns the A / S Solo distribution company. This company also owns the trademark rights for Solo Lett , Solo Pluss , Solrik and Solo Fruktis Appelsin .

- After the Second World War , sugar was often in short supply; therefore Solo had to reduce the sugar content of the drink by 1952.
- In 1959, 8,270,159 bottles were sold in June . After this number has been in a contest asked which wrote out solo for the 25th anniversary.
