Solomon ka Dinuzulu
Solomon ka Dinuzulu (* 1891 on St. Helena ; † March 4, 1933 in Kambi, Louwsburg, today KwaZulu-Natal ) was King of the Zulu from 1913 to 1933.
Life
Solomon ka Dinuzulu was the son of the Zulu king Dinuzulu ka Cetshwayo and was born in exile on St. Helena . When he ascended to the throne in 1913, Zululand was already part of the Natal Province and was therefore no longer an independent state unit. Solomon ka Dinuzulu held the title of king ceremonially, but was never officially recognized as such by the British. He was a co-founder of the first Inkatha movement (also Inkatha kaZulu ) in the 1920s.
