The Sommerberg is an 815 meter high mountain in the Bavarian Forest in the area of the municipality of Haibach in the Straubing-Bogen district , just under three kilometers northeast of the center of Haibach and north of Elisabethszell . There is a launch site for hang-gliders and paragliders on the western slope of the Sommerberg . Because of the close spatial proximity, there is a risk of confusion with the 669 meter high summer mountain east of Haibach .
