Son of Dork (dt. Son from Depp ), also abbreviated SOD (not to be confused with the Stormtroopers of Death , which abbreviate SOD), was a British pop - punk band.
history
The band was formed by James Elliot Bourne in 2005 after his former band Busted announced their breakup in January 2005. The band's style is punk rock.
The name Son of Dork comes from the movie Problem Child . This film is one of James Bourne's favorite films. Originally, Ben Jackson, singer of the band Dudefish , was one of the members of the group. But since his voice did not match Bourne's, they went their separate ways.
With the first single Ticket Outta Loserville , Son Of Dork made it into the British Top Ten in November 2005. The debut album Welcome to Loserville appeared in late November 2005. After Ticket Outta Loserville was Eddie's song released as a second single.
On July 7, 2007, Son of Dork officially said goodbye to their guitarist David Williams, who then played for Kobe. In October 2007, Chris Leonard also left the band. The band was active until 2008.
