Yingzong Chinese  英宗 , Pinyin Yīngzōng , W.-G. Ying 1 -tsung 1  - "Ancestor of the Heroic"; (* February 16, 1032 in Kaifeng ; † January 25, 1067 ibid) was the fifth emperor of the (Northern) Song Dynasty . He was the son of Zhao Yunrang and the stepson of Song Renzong .

Life

Yingzong was the 13th son of Zhao Yunrang and Dame Ren. He spent his childhood at the imperial court. After the military experience period, Yingzong became crown prince in 1055 .
