Renzong , Chinese  仁宗 , Pinyin Rénzōng , W.-G. Jen ² -tsung ¹  - "ancestor of fellow human beings" (* May 12, 1010 in Kaifeng ; † April 30, 1063 ibid), was the fourth emperor of the Song Dynasty from 1022 until his death . At 41 years on the throne, Renzong is considered a good ruler in the stories about Judge Bao .

Life

Renzong was born under the maiden name "Shouyi" as the sixth son of Emperor Song Zhenzong and concubine Li. In 1014 he became Duke of Qing and Shouchun Prince the following year. In 1018 he was first promoted to Sheng Prince, then to Crown Prince and renamed "Zhen".
