Zhezong ( 哲宗 , Zhézōng , Che 2 -tsung 1  - "ancestor of the wise"; * January 4, 1076 in Kaifeng ; † February 23, 1100 ibid) was the 7th emperor of the (Northern) Song Dynasty . He was the son of Song Shenzong .

Life

Zhezong was the 6th son of Shenzong. During his reign, however, politics was controlled by the emperor's grandmother Gao.
