The Songköltoo ( Kyrgyz Соңкөлтоо ; Russian Сонкёльтау ) is a mountain range in the north of the Naryn region in Kyrgyzstan .
The Songköltoo is part of the Tienschan mountain system in Central Asia . It runs north of the Songköl lowlands over a length of 60 km in an east-west direction. The two rivers Jumgal in the west and Tölök in the east flow along the northern flank . The eastern boundary to the Baidulu mountain range is formed by the Dolon Pass . The Songköltoo reaches a maximum height of 3856 m . The 3446 m high Kalmak Pass crosses the Songköltoo and forms a northern road access to the 3,016 m high Songköl Lake. The Songköltoo consists mainly of limestone . The north slopes are steep. Meadows, steppe vegetation thrives on the gently sloping southern slopes .
