Sonia Bermúdez Tribano (born November 18, 1984 in Vallecas ) is a Spanish soccer player .

Career

Bermúdez began her career in 2002 at the CFF Estudiantes de Huelva , from which she moved to the women's department of CE Sabadell after one season . Again after just one year she joined Rayo Vallecano , where she played until 2011 and won the championship three times and the cup competition once . With her next club, FC Barcelona , she was able to win three Spanish championships and one cup title in the following years.

In early 2014, Bermúdez was signed by the NWSL franchise of Western New York Flash and made her league debut against Portland Thorns FC on May 3 . In this game she also managed her first goal in the NWSL, a free kick that was converted directly against the reigning world footballer Nadine Angerer . In September 2014, Bermúdez returned to Barcelona. At the beginning of the 2015/16 season, she moved to Atlético Madrid .

National team

Bermúdez plays for the Spanish national team and took part with them in the 2013 European Championship , where they lost 3-1 to Norway in the quarterfinals .
