Sonja Christ-Brendemühl (née Christ) (born October 1, 1984 in Oberfell ) from the Moselle wine-growing region was elected the 61st German Wine Queen on October 9, 2009 in Heilbronn as the successor to Marlies Dumbsky from the Franconian wine-growing region . Christl Schäfer ( Württemberg ) and Isabell Kindle ( Baden ) stood by her side as wine princesses during her twelve-month term in office .

Sonja Christ comes from a family of winegrowers and innkeepers in the Moselle region. Father Alfred is a restaurateur and mother Gabriele runs the family winery. Until a few years ago, they were the fifth generation to run an inn. The winemaker's daughter was the wine queen of her hometown Oberfell in 2004/2005. In 2008 she represented the Moselle growing region as the wine queen .

After graduating from high school on the Asterstein in Koblenz Sonja Christ studied 2003-2008 Business Administration with a focus on marketing and organization at the University of Mannheim and one semester at the ESC Grenoble (France) with the completion of Diplomkauffrau . In addition to her mother tongue German, she also speaks fluent English, French and Italian. Since February 2009 she has been the head of tasting at the wine magazine selection in Mainz. Since 2018 she has been a research assistant at the University of Koblenz-Landau ; Campus Koblenz / Department 4: Computer Science / Institute for Management.
