Marlies Dumbsky (born October 20, 1985 in Volkach ) from the Franconian wine region was the German Wine Queen in 2008/09. She was elected the 60th German Wine Queen on October 10, 2008 in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse as the successor to Evelyn Schmidt from Radebeul in Saxony.

Life

Marlies Dumbsky comes from a Franconian winemaking family that has been growing wine since 1837. From 2004 to 2006 she was the local wine princess in her hometown. In March 2008 she was elected the 53rd Franconian Wine Queen and in the same year the 60th German Wine Queen. She is a trained winemaker and trained " Franconian Wine Experience Tour Guide" and speaks several languages, in addition to her mother tongue German, English, French and Spanish. Dumbsky rides a motorcycle in her spare time.

She graduated with a bachelor's degree in media and communication studies in Erfurt in 2012 . Since January 1, 2016, she has been working as a press officer in the press office of the Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen parliamentary group in the Bavarian state parliament .
